First R-1101 riser reactor has been installed wherein catalytic cracking process will take place afterwards. Then constructors have started installation of R-1103 regenerator and R-1102 stripping reactor. The first one will serve for regeneration of the spent catalyst by decoking. The second one is intended for separation of hydrocarbons from catalyst particles by the cascade of cyclone separators and by stripping as well.

Total weight of the three vessels amounts to more than 600 tons. As for the height of the Reaction and Regeneration Section, it makes about 50 meters.

— This event is of great importance for the Company, — points out Anton Kharitonov, Chief Specialist, Department of New Refining Facilities Construction, Capital Construction Department, Gazprom neftekhim Salavat. —These vessels, whose installation has been completed, will be the heart not only of the FCC Unit but also of the entire Catalytic Cracking Complex. The main process will take place in this very section and the product quality will depend on well-coordinated and reliable performance of this equipment.

The Catalytic Cracking Complex is designed to process 1,095,000 tons of vacuum gasoil per year and produce 700,000 tons of gasoline with an octane number of 92.
