Oil refining ratio increase

Refining ratio in Gazprom neftekhim Salavat will grow to 91.5 %. Such is the expected forecast based on average economic calculations. Thus in 2017, the Company plans to achieve a refining ratio of 89.3 %. By 2019, refining ratio is anticipated to grow to 91.5 %. For reference: in 2016 this index amounted to 88.2 %.

In 2016, the yield of light oil products in the Company amounted to 72.3 %. It is projected to reach 72.4 % this year. In 2019, the yield will increase up to 75.8%.

Crude oil is the main feedstock for refining in Gazprom neftekhim Salavat. Over the past few years the share of gas condensate almost doubled. Currently gas condensate is the target feedstock component for the Company. Due to this hydrocarbon mixture the Company increased refining ratio from 72 % to 88 % over recent years even without such advanced processes as coking and hydrocracking.

The Company refines crude oil using ELOU-AVT-6 crude distillation unit. Moreover, a modern catalytic cracking complex is under construction at the industrial site of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat. The complex is designed for vacuum gasoil conversion from ELOU AVT-6 and ELOU AVT-4 units to obtain a high-octane number component of commercial gasolines. Designed capacity of the unit is 1.095 mntpa of vacuum gasoil. The complex will comprise catalytic cracking unit and a gasoline selective hydrotreating unit, a circulating water unit, a flare stack and liquefied hydrocarbons tank farm. Currently the issues of technology selection and construction of heavy residue processing unit are under consideration. This will allow increasing refining ratio to 96–98 % in future years.

For reference:
