Hydrotreatment Section of Isomerization Unit is put into normal operating mode
The Oil Refinery of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat has completed installation and construction works at the Unit of Isomerization of pentane-hexane cut. Commissioning activities have since been started at the facility.
The new Unit consists of two sections: Hydrotreatment and Isomerization. Hydrotreatment section designed for fresh feedstock hydrodesulfurization and hydrogenate stabilization has been put into normal operating mode with supply of product isopentane to the tank farm. Adsorbents have been already loaded.
Commissioning activities in cooperation with French licensor company Аxens are being carried out at the other section — Isomerization Unit. Preparation for the section start-up with further catalyst loading and putting the section into normal operating mode is in progress.
The Unit design is executed in compliance with industrial and labor safety regulatory documents in effect within the Russian Federation. The facility’s state-of-the-art level and ecological safety are ensured by solutions implemented in the design.
The Isomerization Unit start-up will allow Gazprom neftekhim Salavat to produce isomerate — a high-octane number component for gasoline. The product free of sulphur, benzene and other aromatics will comply with technical regulations and allow increasing production of high-octane gasolines.
