Company among participants of International Ecological Forum held in Ufa
Gazprom neftekhim Salavat participates in the International Ecological Forum and Ecology. Technologies. Life specialized exhibition.
This year, declared the Year of Ecology, Ufa hosts a grand-scale ecological forum. The Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Bashkir Exhibition Company are the organizers of the event.
At the opening day of the exhibition the official delegation of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan became acquainted with the exhibit stand of the Company. Igor Taratunin, Technical Director of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat, told about the actual environmental policy and the main areas for development of the Company, including implementation of activities oriented to conserve natural resources.

Within the ecological forum the Company’s specialists participated in panel discussions, conference, roundtable talks and thematic meetings that discussed the issues of high-tech production and industrial wastes as well as environmental education.
Illustrated at the Company’s stand, Eichhornia tropical plant was of great interest to the visitors of the exhibition. This water hyacinth has been adapted at the Company’s treatment facilities — it is planned to apply the plant for final treatment of effluents, coming from the Company’s production facilities.
— We take part in this event for a second year, — Oleg Burkov (Chief Environmental Engineer, Head of Environmental Safety Department, Gazprom neftekhim Salavat) notes. — On this year forum we have dedicated a thorough attention to our major environmental projects, which were included into the federal plan of the Year of Ecology, namely reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities and construction of a treatment unit for sulfidic and caustic wastes. Implementation of these activities will ensure an integrated treatment of process effluents, allow water returning into the supply system and enhance the ecological situation in the republic.
