NGL loading under new scheme

Gazprom neftekhim Salavat has split flows of natural gas liquids from the Oil Refinery. They are not mixed anymore but fed to the loading rack through separate pipelines.

For maximizing gasoline fractions processing and expanding the product line Gazprom neftekhim Salavat has implemented a scheme of natural gas liquids (NGL) transportation. The feed stock from the Oil Refinery units is not mixed into a single flow but fed to the loading rack through separate pipelines.

Heretofore all NGL flows of different quality from several Oil Refinery units were combined and forwarded to Monomer Plant. However, the mixed product’s quality neither complied with technical requirements nor satisfied customers. Hence the Company’s managers set the challenge to split NGL flows from the Oil Refinery.

At the storage facility of Monomer Plant an additional pipeline was installed between the treated NGL pipeline and that for NGL piping from the tank farm to the loading rack. It allowed accepting treated NGL from GO-4 and L-35/11-1000 units through a separate transport channel.

The implemented scheme allows loading hydrotreated NGL into the tanks and storing the product at the tank farm. The tank farm can store 360 tons of the product at once.

— Upon implementation of the new scheme from the beginning of June the Company has shipped to customers about 10 kt of treated NGL, — says Marat Davletshin, Head of Production Department of the Oil Refinery. — The quantity of shipments is expected to increase up to 12 kt per month in future.
