In the period from 2014 to 2021, new production facilities were put into operation: Automated On-Spot Loading Unit (AUTN) for dark oil products, Novosalavatskaya PGU (Combined-Cycle Power Plant), the largest plant in Russia producing acrylic acid and butyl acrylate, PSA Unit, Unit of Isomerization of Pentane-Hexane Cut, Hydrogen Production Unit. The implementation of Industrial Sulphur Plant and Catalytic Cracking Complex construction projects continues.
The Company directed by Ayrat Karimov continued a large-scale program of the Oil Refinery modernization. Gazprom neftekhim Salavat switched over to the production of Euro-5 high-environmental class fuel ahead of schedule. In 2015, the Company achieved the quality of gasoline and diesel fuel scheduled for January 1, 2016 and worked ahead of schedule for the whole year. At year-end 2018, for the first time in history, the production of high-octane gasoline at the Oil Refinery amounted to 1.03 million tons, the production of diesel fuel increased to 1.97 million tons. Thus, the Company carried out in full the obligation of the quadripartite agreement signed in 2011 with the participation of Gazprom, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology. As per the document, Gazprom neftekhim Salavat undertook to produce at least 1.0 million tons per year of Class-5 gasoline and at least 1.750 million tons per year of Class-5 diesel fuel.
Led by Ayrat Karimov, the Company became the main Gazprom facility for processing liquid hydrocarbons. Gazprom neftekhim Salavat together with Department 614 of Gazprom carried out measures for optimization of the Oil Refinery’s feedstock pool to increase light oil products output and reduce dark oil products output. Such indicators, as refinery yield and light oil products output, significantly increased.
As a result of multi-stage modernization, the Monomer Plant increased ethylene output from 300 to 355 kta; HDPE, styrene, 2-ethylhexanol output increased as well. The Gas and Chemical Plant implements projects “AM-76 Reconstruction to Achieve Daily Capacity of 1,750 tpd” and “Shop No. 24 Reconstruction to Achieve Daily Capacity of 1,400 tpd” resulting in more cost-effective operation of ammonia production facility and the entire Plant.
The Company takes active measures under the environmental program to reduce the impact on the environment. Reconstruction of treatment facilities continues. Among 26 best companies in the country, Gazprom neftekhim Salavat received an award from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia in the nomination “Active environmental policy of the company in the Year of Ecology”. The Company purchased and installed in Salavat two automated stations for online monitoring of atmospheric air quality. In 2021, the Company joined the Eurasian Climate Consortium entrusted with the functions of developing and implementing a program for the carbon polygon creation and operation.
Ayrat Karimov was awarded a Certificate of Honor of the Republic of Bashkortostan for his professional excellence and significant contribution to the republic’s industrial potential. In 2018, Ayrat Karimov was awarded the honorary title “Honored Chemist of the Republic of Bashkortostan”.
His length of service at the Company amounts to 12 years (2007 to 2014 and 2016 to 2021).
