Award for environmental activities
The final events dedicated to the Year of Ecology have highlighted the Company’s business activity in Moscow.
V All-Russian Congress of Environmental Protection and II International Exhibition and Forum ECOTECH were held on December 12–14, 2017 by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia. These events summed up the results of the thematic year, awarded the largest industrial enterprises of the country that had demonstrated the best results when taking measures stipulated by the agreements within the Year of Ecology. Gazprom neftekhim Salavat was honored among other 26 best companies.
We would like to remind that in 2017 the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources, the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Gazprom neftekhim Salavat signed the quadripartite cooperation agreement related to fulfillment of activities within the Year of Ecology. The document envisages the construction of Sulfur-Alkaline Waste Water Neutralization Unit at Monomer Plant and Oil Refinery of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat in order to provide considerable neutralization and process effluent treatment of the Company to within the safe ecological limits and help to reconstruct the Sewage Treatment Works at the main industrial site of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat.

Sewage Treatment Works, which cost over 79 billion roubles. Another 70 projects will have been implemented over the period from 2018 to 2025. Further work following the format „supervision bodies-enterprise-region“ will set the tone for the future activity aimed at reducing human-induced impact on nature. Only comprehensive and smart ecological policy will lead to the real clean environment, and, consequently, to increased trust by our citizens.»
