Proprietary Chemicals For Water Treatment
Gazprom neftekhim Salavat introduces proprietary chemicals for water treatment — they have been developed and are produced at the Scientific and Technical Center (STC) of the Company.
The line of AddiTOP trademark chemicals of the Gazprom neftekhim Salavat's STC is designed to treat feed and boiler water. For several months, these agents have been tested at the Hydrogen Production Unit (HPU) to replace foreign-produced reagents Jurby, as well as in ammonia production in Shop No. 54. As intermediate results of the fixed run, scientists and production workers note improvement of the water-chemistry conditions and generally increased reliability of equipment operation.
The chemicals are added to feed and boiler water to eliminate unfavorable effects: to prevent scale and sludge formation and to protect equipment from corrosion. They contain substances that absorb oxygen, increase water alkalinity and enable overall correct water-chemistry balance. The development of the Company's STC includes three brands of agents. These are oxygen absorber AddiTOP Frioks, corrosion inhibitor and PH corrector AddiTOP Frikor, and reagent for boiler water treatment to prevent scale and sludge formation, AddiTOP FSHCHR.
After completing fixed test runs with the STC chemicals in Shop No. 54 and the HPU and receiving positive results, there will be considered their application in other vaporization systems at Gazprom neftekhim Salavat. In particular, at the new FCC Catalytic Cracking Unit.
Today, the STC covers all the needs of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat's petrochemical Complex for the reactant treatment of vaporization and water systems. The creation of the AddiTOP chemicals line in 2017 was one of the far-sighted steps of the Company's import substitution. In addition, the use of reagents for treating feed and boiler water is one of the areas that ensure normal technological operation of units. This is the primary goal, on which depends the reliability of production performance, compliance with the requirements of technological regulations and industrial safety.
For reference:
Gazprom neftekhim Salavat is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes in Russia. The Complex was founded in 1948.
The Company is integrated into the Gazprom system. It has the basic advantage: consolidating on a single site a full cycle of crude hydrocarbons processing, petrochemistry and mineral fertilizers production. The Company comprises the Oil Refinery, Gas & Chemical Plant and the Monomer Plant.
Gazprom neftekhim Salavat produces more than 150 items, over 50% of which are bulk products including motor gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, styrene, polystyrene, low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, DOP plasticizer, butyl alcohols, sulphur, ammonia, urea, acrylic acid, butyl acrylate etc.
The products are shipped to all federal subjects of the country. Export supplies of oil products are mainly directed to European and CIS countries. Petro- and gas chemicals are exported to over 30 CIS and non-CIS countries and the largest volumes are shipped to Kazakhstan, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Finland etc.
High quality of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat output is confirmed by certificates of conformity to ISO 9001 and 14001, the international standards of quality and environmental safety.
