Gasoline meets the new standard
The company has successfully transitioned to the production of motor gasoline AI-92-K5 and AI-95-K5 according to GOST 32513–2023 «Motor gasoline. Technical specifications”.
The national standard of the Russian Federation GOST 32513–2023 «Motor gasoline. Technical Specifications» was enacted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology. This standard replaced GOST 32513–2013.
The updated GOST applies to motor gasoline and establishes the characteristics of gasoline used as a liquid motor fuel in vehicles with spark-ignition internal combustion engines. The standard specifies the following grades of gasoline: AI-80, AI-92, AI-95, AI-98 of ecological classes K2, K3, K4 and K5. It also specifies the physicochemical and operational characteristics of gasoline, evaporation characteristics, safety requirements, acceptance rules and test methods.
In addition, Gazprom neftekhim Salavat received all the necessary documents in a short period of time confirming the compliance of motor gasoline with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 013/2011 “Requirements for motor and aviation gasoline, diesel and marine fuels, jet fuel and fuel oil.” The Technical Regulations of the Customs Union establish requirements for fuel in order to protect human life and health, as well as property and the environment. These regulations also aim to prevent actions that could mislead consumers about the purpose, safety, and energy efficiency of fuel.
In the Chief Process Engineer Department of the company, conditions that contributed to the improvement of motor fuel characteristics are noted: «In particular, at the GO-4 hydrotreaters and PGI-434 combined-cycle gas isomerization plant of workshop No. 11, which produce commercial gasoline components, during the 2024 overhaul period, imported catalytic systems were replaced with domestic ones. These actions have made it possible to improve quality indicators of individual components and increase the technological independence of gasoline production from foreign technologies.»
