25 years on the market of ethylene and polymer manufacturers
The order to construct the Monomer Plant was signed 25 years ago on February 22, 1991. The company has manufactured 7.545 million tons of ethylene, 3.867 million tons of propylene and 2.307 million tons of butane-butylene cut for this period.
The Monomer Plant is one of the largest subdivisions of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat. The main function of the plant is the development of petrochemical sector on industrial site of the company.
Modification of the Reaction Section of Acetylene Hydrogenation in Ethane-Ethylene Cut, shop No. 56.
One of the latest significant changes taken place at the Monomer Plant was the full modification of the Reaction Section of Acetylene Hydrogenation in Ethane-Ethylene Cut of shop No. 56. Three reactors and the heat exchange equipment with pipelines that had caused a big pressure drop and disabled additional feeding were replaced.
«We have solved those problems and managed to obtain 1100 tons of ethylene per day. These measures have helped to change the process regulations and the name of the unit from EP-300 to EP-340 (Ethylene and Propylene Production Unit)», Vadim Zuev, Technical Director of the Monomer Plant says. «Besides, the construction of the new pyrolysis furnace, new polyethylene and polystyrene production unit are planned for the next 5 years.»
