Gazprom neftekhim Salavat took part in the ecological forum.
Gazprom neftekhim Salavat is a permanent participant of the Ecology and Technologies exhibition.
The ecological forum took place from March 10 to March 12 in Ufa and combined the specialized Ecology and Technologies exhibition with a broad business program. The Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Bashkir Exhibition Company were the organizers of the event.
This year, Gazprom neftekhim Salavat, a permanent exhibition participant, featured a stand with Eichhornia — a plant applied at the treatment facilities for final effluent water treatment. During warm months it is successfully used in an oxidation ditch and a biological pond, absorbing pollutants from the aquatic medium. Eichhornia winters in the heated premises of "PromVodoKanal" LLC. The plant is delivered to the exhibition in warm boxes and is always of interest to the visitors.

"Gazprom neftekhim Salavat implements several projects targeted at reducing environmental impact, and also annually holds environmental campaigns for planting, cleaning and beautification of the town of Salavat, the Belaya river, the industrial area," noted Oleg Burkov, the Company's Chief Environmental Engineer. He emphasizes that the ecological forum and the exhibition are traditionally held at a high level, involving large-scale enterprises of the Republic. "These events are useful, they allow to keep up with all new developments, including changes in legislation. As part of the forum, roundtable discussions and sessions are held, where acute problems are up for debate and, most importantly, the problem solutions are elaborated. "
The Ecology and Technologies event is the only multi-sector exhibition project in the region aimed at stimulating the development of environmental culture, both on the part of the business, and on the part of the community and the public. This year the event was held in the semi-digital format, the participants could take part in person or follow the forum online. Such a format allowed to enrich the event program with the speeches of the leading experts from various cities of the country and the world, as well as massively broadened the coverage of delegates and online visitors.

Gazprom neftekhim Salavat is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes in Russia. The Complex was founded in 1948.

Gazprom neftekhim Salavat produces more than 100 items, over 50% of which are bulk products including motor gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, styrene, polystyrene, low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, DOP plasticizer, butyl alcohols, sulphur, ammonia, urea, acrylic acid, butyl acrylate etc.
The oil refining and petrochemical products are exported to all federal subjects of the country. The geography of export covers over 50 CIS and non-CIS countries including Finland, China, Brazil, the UK, Western Europe countries and the Baltic states.
